Cisco Satellite Solutions integrate Service Provider ground architectures optimized for satellite communications with the spacecraft platforms in the Internet Routing in Space (IRIS) product lines of the Cisco 18000 Series Space Router. The satellite communications market is at an inflection point driven by global in-orbit capacity increasing five-fold combined with ground systems transitioning to IP architectures, leveraging mobility standards. Cisco customers can lead the transition with Cisco Satellite Solutions by extending Cisco Service Provider (SP) Mobility and WiFi offerings to deliver scalable service offerings for enterprise networking, broadband and backhaul applications.
